I
joined Rolls-Royce's Mulliner Park Ward division in 1973,
worked on many a Corniche
DHC and FHC (including the last ever FHC ever built),
restored 20/25s, 25/30s, Phantoms, Silver Wraiths, Silver
Clouds and Silver Shadows and was fortunate enough to be
one of the team that prepared HM the
Queen's 1977 ceremonial Phantom VI, presented by the
British motor industry to commemorate the Silver Jubilee
of her accession to the throne and to demonstrate the summit
of the coachbuilder's art
I also worked at Hoopers on some of the
most exotic and luxuriously equipped R-R Silver Spirit conversions
for the for the Middle East and Far East before setting
up LCC in 1986.
Among
our staff Andy Linton, for example, joined Mulliner Park
Ward with me and accumulated 19 years' experience of building
Phantom VI woodwork before joining LCC in 1992.
